About

When the frontier is home.

A founder house meets investor network meets co-working. Always in beta.

Dar means house in Arabic.

Beta, β, is the second letter of the Greek alphabet. Tech borrowed it for the unfinished version: tested, corrected, still changing. Something to get past.

The word disagrees. Beta comes from bet, the Semitic word for house. Unfinished was a home before it was a deadline.

So we built it as one.

Here the idea, the product, the pitch and the founder are all drafts, tested on the advisors and investors who come through.

You test. You correct. You change your mind on a Thursday and nobody blinks, because the person across the kitchen is doing the same thing with a different problem.

DAR β is where you build the first version, and the next. It is easier with company, and with everything within reach: five rooms, the Workbench studio and a deck under the redwoods, ten minutes from the labs, the funds and the companies you came for.

Living in beta, on purpose.
